Mrs. Morgan

My name is Rolonda Morgan and I have been teaching for 17 years. I am a native of Kannapolis ~ GO WONDERS!!! As your child’s teacher, I will be working hard to help him/her make academic progress in a safe, structured, and positive environment. I will maintain regular communication with you and I will keep you informed with regards to your child’s progress. I strongly believe that parents and teachers must work as a team to ensure that the children get the most they can out of each school year.

College(s) Attended/Degrees Earned:

I am a 1999 graduate of Winston Salem State University with a degree in Psychology. I received my teaching certification from the University of Charlotte.

 

Educational Philosophy/Vision:

All students are unique and should be challenged to their fullest potential that promotes higher learning in a secure, loving, and caring environment.

October

In ELA we are working on upper and lowercase letters, letter sounds, sight words, and tracing.

1st and 2nd graders are reading simple sentences using sight words; as well as their individualized goals.

In Math we are working on counting from 0-100 and adding manipulatives 0-10. We are also using a computer based math program for additional instruction.

Social Skills – We are working on sharing with others.

Science – We are learning about the Fall Season

*Leaves changing colors

*Trees serve many purposes (wildlife, habitats, etc)

*How we dress for weather changes

 

Additional News:

AUTISM SPEAKS WALK on October 28, 2017 at the Zmax Dragway in Concord, NC. We will be fundraising with t-shirt sales. All Autism t-shirt sales are due Oct 10th. We will begin collected change in October for Autism.
